If you have an instrument and love playing it, come join us for a jam session! Bring your horn and get ready to play with other musicians. Start your Telluride Jazz Festival mornings off with live jazz music at Morning Jam at the Telluride Arts HQ on Main Street. Attendees can enjoy performances led by students from Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse in the heart of downtown Telluride, steps away from the “Society Stage” at Elks Park and minutes away from the Telluride Town Park Main Stage. All musicians are welcome and encouraged to join in on the jam for an improvisational performance to get their day swinging. The jam will be first come first play, with a sign up sheet. The music jams will go from 9 - 10 am on both Saturday August 12 and Sunday August 13 and are open to the public.

The future of jazz education will be on full display at the 2022 Telluride Jazz Festival! Produced by the Telluride Society for Jazz and generously supported by Raynier Institute and Foundation, Dworbell Inc., Telluride Foundation, Western Jazz Presenters Network and the National Endowment for the Arts we are pleased to share the edition of a masterclass and a community outreach workshop during the festival. Both events are free and open to the public.

Telluride Jazz Adventure Academy Registrations Open
Returning for the second year, Festival organizers and the Telluride Society for Jazz have partnered again with the Telluride Academy and Caleb Chapman's Soundhouse to produce the week-long music education and outdoor adventure academy for students leading up to the 42nd Telluride Jazz Festival.
New Jazz Adventure Academy and 2017 Student Education Programming
New for 2017! Festival organizers have partnered with the Telluride Academy and Caleb Chapman's Soundhouse to introduce a new, week-long music education and outdoor adventure academy for students on July 31 – August 4, 2017. The Telluride Jazz Adventure Academy provides students the opportunity to learn new skills, collaborate with peers, perform on stage during the Festival and adventure outdoors at the height of summer in the stunning San Juan Mountains.
