The Hot Sardines are hot, indeed. The eight-piece band (which includes a tap dancer) dishes up traditional jazz tunes that are finger-snapping, lively and masterfully performed. The band, co-led by Elizabeth Bougerol, with pianist and bandleader, Evan Palazzo, thrives on playing live. “Everything in our DNA is about connecting with the audience. That’s where we feel most at home,” Elizabeth says. Their latest record, “Welcome Home, Bon Voyage” on Eleven Records, was recorded live and aptly showcases the energy and verve of their shows. You will be completely unable to hold still when they perform. They’ve gone from speakeasies to festival stages for good reason. Their energy seems impossible to contain in smaller venues. They’ve toured the world and we’re thrilled to have them make a stop in the mountains.
