dance, sing, and march your way through the heart of Telluride
In addition to world class music on the Main Stage, the Telluride Jazz Festival has plenty of events to keep you entertained. One of the weekend highlights is the New Orleans 2nd Line Parade on Sunday at 12 pm (Elks Park on Main Street).
Second Line Parades are a longstanding music tradition in New Orleans where brass bands take to the streets, play and march. Onlookers who follow along to enjoy the music are known as the second line. As a nod to the rich music heritage of the Crescent City, we host our very own 2nd Line Parade on Sunday of the festival weekend to kick off the final day of events.
Join the Hooligans Brass Band along with festival staff, attendees, and artists for a lively parade down Main Street all the way to the festival entrance. Everyone is welcome! Colorful floats, costumes, beads and decorations are all welcome as attendees join in on the march through town.
Grab your friends and family, put on your dancing shoes, and join us for a celebration unlike any other.
