With the additions of the all-inclusive Jazz After Dark format, Liberty Sessions, and The Final Waltz closing show, the late night scene at the Telluride Jazz Festival just got much more dynamic! When the music ends in Telluride Town Park each day, the fun is far from over! Here is your guide to late night fun at the 2017 Telluride Jazz Festival!
Jazz After Dark
After the festival ends in Town Park on Friday and Saturday (August 4th and 5th), the music will continue into the night at Jazz After Dark shows located around town in a selection of Telluride's best indoor nightclubs and historic venues. Here you can catch your choice of acts in an intimate, up close and personal setting at three venues.
The 2017 Jazz After Dark schedule includes shows from FatsO at the Sheridan Opera House, The Suffers at The Moon at O'Bannon's and Ranky Tanky at the Liberty Bar & Lounge on Friday night. Along with Miles Mosley + the West Coast Get Down at the Sheridan Opera House, Cha Wa Mardi Gras Indian Band at The Moon at O'Bannon's and Davina & The Vagabonds at the Liberty Bar & Lounge on Saturday night.
Jazz After Dark passes allow access to all three venues for the night purchased. Be aware, Jazz After Dark passes do not guarantee entry to the show, all venues are first come, first served and based on the capacity of each venue. As they fill up, we direct you to which Jazz After Dark venues are not full. As the night goes on, crowds at the Jazz After Dark tend to rotate, so even if you can't catch the start of the band you want to see, there's a good chance you can catch the last half of their show. So, if there is one particular band you really want to see, get in line early for the show! After the shows begin, entry is dependent on capacity.
Friday and Saturday Jazz After Dark passes are on sale now! Bundle and save, the 'All That Jazz' Pass includes entry into all Jazz After Dark Shows. A limited amount of Early Bird 'All That Jazz' Passes remain. The Patron Experience Pass includes entry into all Jazz After Dark Shows with priority entry.
Liberty Sessions
This year the music continues into the "am" with the new Liberty Sessions! Following the “Jazz After Dark” shows, the Liberty Sessions will take place at Telluride’s most recent addition, The Liberty Bar & Lounge. Free and open to the public, the series will feature The McCarthy Trio on Friday and The Bob Montgomery and Josh Quinlan Sextet on Saturday. Both shows kick-off at 11:30pm!
The Final Waltz
The late night fun continues on Sunday with the Final Waltz closing show! After Mavis Staples closes down the Main Stage, the festival concludes with a special performance by Vaud and the Villains at the historic Sheridan Opera House. Vaud and the Villains energetic 19-piece vaudeville style show in the beautiful preserved Victorian-era Sheridan Opera House is sure to be a memorable way to end the 2017 Telluride Jazz Festival.
Final Waltz show admission is not included in Patron Experience or 'All That Jazz' Passes.
