It's Official! We're Back! Telluride Jazz Festival To Return On August 13-15, 2021

Telluride Jazz Festival Will Officially Be Returning August 13-15, 2021

As the nation gradually emerges from the pandemic and spring turns to summer, we are excited to finally announce that the Telluride Jazz Festival will officially be returning this August 13-15, 2021! After months of hard work with local, county and state officials, we have developed an operating plan to safely host the festival that follows guidelines from governing health organizations and creates a controlled, safe and enjoyable environment.

SBG Productions has created a flexible plan and we are prepared to adapt if regulations were to tighten or relax, understanding that the nature of the pandemic can change day-to-day and month-to-month. Our team is excited to welcome everyone back in a highly-managed and safe environment.

HYBRID VENUE LAYOUT

This year's festival features a hybrid layout in Telluride Town Park with both a socially-distanced area with "pods" along with a general open area for attendees to enjoy at their discretion.

This hybrid model allows attendees to choose how best to enjoy the festival. For those that feel comfortable being closer to the stage, the general open area will be available for groups to bring chairs, tarps/blankets, coolers, shade tents and enjoy freely. For those that would prefer a more structured environment where physical distancing is enforced, the “pod” area will be available for groups to safely gather and enjoy the beautiful scenery and music.

ADDITIONAL SPACE

This year, we are pleased to announce that we have added 75,000 square feet of space to allow attendees to spread out in small groups and create a low-key, relaxed atmosphere. This addition doubles the size of the traditional festival layout but maintains the attendance size at the same capacity as in pre-pandemic years.

NEW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The safety of all event participants is paramount. In order to keep all festival attendees, staff, artists, vendors, volunteers and community members safe, we will follow all local and state COVID-19 health & safety guidelines in place at the time of the festival and will communicate all requirements to ticket-holders before the festival.

  • The festival will employ a team of helpful, roaming “Safety Rangers”, to answer any questions and ensure that safety protocols are met throughout the festival.

  • We have tripled the amount of hand wash and sanitization stations throughout the venue and increased the frequency of periodic cleaning of restrooms and high-touch areas.

  • Our team will utilize a strategic plan to control traffic flows and mitigate potential congestion.

  • Festival staff will adhere to a health screening prior to each day.

Please note: all of the above precautions are subject to change in accordance with local and state COVID-19 health & safety guidelines

CHANGES TO PATRON AND VIP EXPERIENCES

Although the vaccine distribution has become widespread and health statistics continue to move in a positive direction, we are making some important changes to the Patron and VIP Experiences to ensure that everyone can safely enjoy the festival. Unfortunately, this means that certain amenities that were featured in previous years won’t be available this year. These premium experiences still feature top-notch luxury amenities but will be a bit different from years past. To view the amenities featured with each experience, click below.
