This little write-up about singer-composer Kelly Finnigan could end right there, because that’s exactly what he embodies, but his presence on the emergent neo-soul scene demands more than that. The Colemine Records artist channels the soul sounds some of you remember from the radio heyday of the genre in the 1960s and 70s. His devotion to bringing the heartfelt nuances of the genre to a new, young audience is evident in his remark, “Soul is my church.” We’re gonna fill every seat in every pew for his performance with his band The Atonements.
