For the Telluride Society for Jazz’ Artists in the School program, Calle 66, a
salsa band from Albuquerque, performed for 250 kids. Everyone had a blast,
conga line and all! This was part of WinterJazz where we bring performers to
the kids. The Just for Kids Foundation makes it possible. Find out more info about our educational programs here.

If you have already purchased your tickets for Jazz this year, or if you are thinking about it now, today is a great time to make your plans. On the day after Jazz ends, there will be two nights of performances that will max out the capacity of Telluride and Mountain Village lodging. Our lodging sponsors have committed to holding rooms for Jazz goers, and we’d like to help them help you get your lodging booked.

Please check out Lodging Specials here
. Sponsors with the Jazz Package Details button have packages available only to Jazz visitors.

New Artists Just Booked!

THE GREYBOY ALLSTARS
GBA invokes their “sultry, syrupy grooves… that brew up an intense dancefest spiked with obscure jazz beat” wherever they play, says the Denver Post Reverb. They are a funk and jazz group created in the early 1990s and were a major part of the mid-90s acid jazz movement that spurred a renewed interest in late 60s/early 70s soul jazz. GBA was in Telluride last in 1996, and you won’t want to miss them this time around. [more info and music]

CHARLIE HUNTER
Charlie Hunter is widely considered the authority on the seven- and eight-string guitar, and continues to stun audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads and swinging rhythms. [more info and music]

HAZEL MILLER BAND
Hazel Miller is not just a great singer, “she is a force of nature!” quotes the Rocky Mountain News. Whether she is singing blues, jazz, pop or gospel, her voice charges the songs with a primal dose of genuine soul. [more info and music]
