Flora Purim, Airto Moreira and Eyedentity – Guests of Honor.
Airto is internationally known as the best percussionist of our time. He played with Cannonball Adderly, Lee Morgan, Paul Desmond, Joe Zawinul and Miles Davis. In 1965 in Rio, Airto met his future wife, Flora Purim, the reigning Queen of Brazilian Jazz. Her 6-octave voice has earned her the distinction of being a 4-time winner by DownBeat Magazine as “Best Female Jazz Vocalist” and 2 Grammy nominations. Her musical partners have been Stan Getz, Chick Corea, Dizzy Gillespie and, of course, Airto. Purim’s seductive, playful voice and Airto’s one-man percussion concertos are an enthralling combination. www.florapurim.com; www.airto.com

John Mayall - is considered the "Godfather of British Blues." He created the Bluesbreakers in the 1960s and attained worldwide legendary status and a first hit album for the Bluesbreakers in a collaboration with Eric Clapton. Mayall is known for his hard-hitting interpretations of the fierce Chicago-style blues he'd grown up listening to. He has played with everybody including a rare collaboration with blues legend John Lee Hooker, and won a Grammy nomination for "Wake Up Call" featuring Buddy Guy. Now 72, John Mayall was just awarded an OBE in this year's Queens Honours List and shows no signs of slowing down.

Regina Carter – Regina is one of the most significant, versatile, innovative and provocative violinists in the jazz world today. A Detroit native, she has a musical background rooted in classical, having played with the Detroit Civic Symphony. Carter, a dynamic live artist, displays a keen command of her instrument and crosses it with a true jazzer’s flair and sense of musical humor. She has created a post-modern approach to jazz using her violin as her voice: soaring, sighing, demanding and convincing. She has collaborated with Wynton Marsalis, Steve Turre, and Billy Joel. reginacarter.com.

Soulive – This band brings jazz back to the dance floor. They have toured with the Dave Matthews Band, The Rolling Stones and Indie Arie to name a few. Nnenna Freelon- Five-time Grammy Award nominee and winner of the Billie Holiday Award, this jazz vocalist returns to Telluride with her “great entertainment and very hip music”, according to Aretha Franklin. Nnenna was drawn into the world of jazz by singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday, to whom she has been compared. Her voice conveys passion and can offer a sensuous, full-bodied sound, but she is confident enough to hang back and play it cool, allowing the instrumental settings of her band to shine through. www.nnenna.com.

Larry will be here this year with his Power Trio performing some Hard-Rock classics. www.larrycoryell.com.

Ernie Watts – The acclaimed saxophonist performs with his long-time Quartet. “I’ve been performing with this rhythm section for over 14 years, and having them with me creates a group voice, rather than four separate voices,” says Watts. He has released 17 solo records and has been touring and recording for over 30 years. The Ernie Watts Quartet is David Witham, piano; Bob Leatherbarrow, drums/vibes; and Bruce Lett, acoustic bass. www.erniewatts.com.
